About the Role:
We are looking for a German-speaking Trust & Safety Specialist to join our team in Lisbon. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and trustworthy environment on our platform. You will monitor user activities, review content, enforce policies, and ensure compliance with community guidelines. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential risks and fraudulent activities.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work model, allowing you to work both onsite and remotely, ensuring you have the flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor user interactions, activities, and content in German to ensure compliance with platform policies and guidelines

Identify and investigate potential trust and safety issues, including fraudulent activities, harmful content, and violations of platform rules

Respond to and resolve reported cases, such as harassment, abuse, and content violations

Collaborate with legal, security, and product teams to mitigate risks and improve platform safety

Review user-generated content (text, images, videos) for compliance with content policies
-
Escalate complex or high-risk cases to senior management or specialized teams for further investigation

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trust & safety trends, legal regulations, and best practices
-
Provide reports and insights on common safety issues, trends, and potential areas for improvement

Educate and assist users in understanding platform policies and guidelines
-
Contribute to the creation and refinement of content moderation guidelines and safety protocols
What You Bring:

Fluent in German (spoken and written)

Good command of English (spoken and written)

Previous experience in trust & safety, content moderation, or online security roles

Strong understanding of online safety policies, community guidelines, and legal compliance

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure

Experience with content moderation tools and reporting systems

Strong communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive issues professionally

A proactive approach to risk management and issue resolution

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes high-pressure environment
