Digital Safety Specialist (German Language) - Hybrid Role in Sofia

We are looking for motivated and linguistically skilled individuals to join our team in Sofia as a Digital Safety Specialist. In this critical hybrid role, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive and secure online environment for users across German-speaking territories by reviewing and processing user-generated content.


Position Details & Location

• Role: Digital Safety Specialist / Content Reviewer
• Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (Hybrid model combining home and office work)
• Local Requirement: This position is strictly for candidates currently residing in Bulgaria who possess local work authorization.

Key Responsibilities

Your main duty will be to serve as the initial point of review for digital content.

• Content Vetting: Scrutinize and evaluate various forms of user-uploaded content (e.g., text, videos, images) in German to determine compliance with established platform guidelines.
• Policy Application: Execute decisive actions—such as approval, rejection, or necessary removal—based on a thorough understanding of complex and evolving content moderation policies.
• Standards Maintenance: Actively contribute to the platform's safety by identifying and addressing content violations, including issues related to explicit material, illegal activities, and abusive behavior.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of moderation activities and escalate highly sensitive or unclear situations to the relevant internal teams for expert review.
• Process Contribution: Offer observations and feedback regarding emerging content trends to support the continuous enhancement of safety tools and procedures.
• Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, operating on rotational shifts: 09:00 – 18:00 or 11:00 – 20:00.
• Company Provided: All necessary work equipment will be supplied by the company.

Mandatory Candidate Profile

• German: Complete fluency in both spoken and written German is required for content analysis.
• English: Must possess a strong professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level) for communication and using internal systems.
• Residency: Must be a local applicant, already living within Bulgaria.
• Work Eligibility: Must hold valid documentation authorizing employment in Bulgaria, such as:
  • An EU Citizenship Document
  • A Residency Card valid for over one year
  • A valid Refugee Card
• Soft Skills: High level of concentration, sound judgment, and the capacity to handle exposure to potentially upsetting or graphic material in an objective manner.

Desirable Qualifications

While previous experience in a similar field is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite. Comprehensive training is provided for all new hires.
