The Role: German Content Moderator
As a German-Speaking Content Moderator, you will be on the front line, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all users of our social media platform, particularly within the German-speaking market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze user-generated content (text, images, video) from the German market to ensure strict adherence to platform guidelines and policies.
- Accurately and efficiently make decisions on content eligibility, including the removal or escalation of material that violates community standards (e.g., hate speech, graphic content, misinformation).
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality in all moderation decisions.
- Keep up-to-date with evolving social media trends, policy updates, and training materials.
- Contribute to a high-performing team environment in a fast-paced, 100% on-site office setting.
What You Must Bring
- Language Proficiency (Mandatory):
- German: Complete fluency (written and spoken) is a must-have. You must be able to understand complex and nuanced native German content.
- English: A working level of English (minimum B2 level) is required for training, internal communication, and understanding policy documentation.
- Work Style:
- Proven ability to maintain high focus, attention to detail, and a neutral, objective stance while reviewing sensitive content.
- Excellent decision-making skills under pressure.
- Resilience and maturity to manage emotionally challenging material.
What is Good to Have (But Not a Must)
- Prior Experience: Previous experience in content moderation, customer service, or a back-office environment is a plus, but we provide comprehensive, fully paid training for all new hires.
- Cultural Knowledge: An understanding of German online culture and social dynamics is beneficial.
Work Environment and Schedule
- Location: 100% On-site in Porto, Portugal. All work is performed from our modern office facility.
- Equipment: All necessary work equipment will be provided by the company.
- Shifts (Rotative 24/7): You must be available to work a rotative schedule across all days of the week (Monday to Sunday) and all shifts, which include:
- Morning Shift: 07:00 – 16:00
- Afternoon Shift: 14:00 – 23:00
- Night Shift: 22:30 – 07:30
- Schedules will include two rotative days off per week.
