About the Role

We are hiring German-speaking Customer Support Agent to join an exciting international retail customer service project based in Umhlanga, Durban.

In this role, you will support German-speaking customers by providing professional assistance across multiple channels, ensuring an excellent retail and shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Agent, you will:

  • Handle customer queries in German via phone, email, and live chat
  • Assist customers with retail-related inquiries such as orders, deliveries, returns, and product information
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service in line with brand expectations
  • Resolve customer complaints and escalate complex cases when necessary
  • Maintain detailed records of all interactions in internal systems
  • Meet service quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction targets
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to enhance customer experience

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • German language proficiency between B2 and C2 level (written and spoken)
  • Good command of English for internal communication
  • Matric / Grade 12 qualification is essential
  • Customer service or call center experience is advantageous (retail experience is a plus)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Comfortable working rotational shifts, including weekends if required
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate support systems
