We are seeking science fresh graduates to join our CCK Quality Control Apprentice Programme, a structured 12-month program designed to develop suitable candidates into permanent QC Assistants, subject to performance and competency assessment.

This role is hands-on and shopfloor based, supporting quality control activities in a regulated food processing environment.

Program Overview

  • 12-month fixed-term Apprentice program
  • Structured exposure to:
    • Dirty processing areas
    • Clean processing areas; and / or
    • Loading and distribution operations
  • Supervised on-the-job learning with defined controls
  • Conversion to permanent QC Assistant role upon successful completion

We welcome applications from science graduates without food-related backgrounds, including but not limited to:

  • Applied / Industrial Science
  • Chemistry
  • Environmental Science
  • Biotechnology (non-food)

Requirements

  • Fresh graduates or less than 1 year of working experience
  • CGPA 3.20 and above
  • Willingness to learn and work in a factory / processing environment
  • Able to follow procedures, instructions, and hygiene requirements strictly

Important Work Conditions (Please Read Carefully)

This role is not lab-based and not office-based.

Applicants must be willing to:

  • Work in dirty and clean processing areas
  • Work in cold, wet, noisy, and odorous environments
  • Work primarily night shifts
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Wear PPE and comply with strict GMP and hygiene requirements

Responsibilities: To perform routine visual and physical quality checks on live birds, work-in-progress, and finished products; to support hygiene compliance by observing handwashing, GMP attire, and sanitation practices; to record temperature checks, cut check, and cleanliness accurately and promptly; to assist in product sampling and swab collection as instructed by the QA Officer; to report any observed deviation and non-conformances to the QA Officer immediately and accurately; to support segregation of non-conforming product under supervision; to maintain QA tools and documents in an organized manner; to follow documented procedures and complete assigned QA checklist fully and honestly; to work closely with the production team to ensure compliance but escalate decisions to QA Officer.
