Wind & Solar Development Manager (Commercial & Industrial) India

CDAS Search is working with one of the worlds leading renewable energy developers who are expanding their presence in India.

Through an exciting series of partnerships, the client is looking to hire someone to lead their project development and power purchase agreement (PPA) negotiations with commercial & industrial clients in India, looking to transition to a cleaner energy mix.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Originate and develop potential commercial and industrial client partners that fit the clients criteria.
• Lead negotiations and close bankable long-term PPAs for wind and solar projects in the India market with commercial and industrial partners.

• Lead offtake strategy for projects including creating group of off takers for projects under development.

• Create pool of off-takers for the projects under development.

• Keep track of regulatory and statutory updates impacting offtake strategies, structures, and market developments to further develop alternative off-take structures and concepts.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience in project development for renewable energy projects covering PPA negotiations, energy procurement and renewable energy project development.
• Strong existing network of commercial and industrial clients.
• Experience in PPA negotiations and structuring, modelling of renewable energy business cases and analysis of PPA term sheets and contracts.

• Strong negotiating skills.
• Willingness and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and in a dynamic and international business environment (intercultural competencies).
