Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and driven Regional Sales Specialist (RSS) to lead our rapidly growing foodservice market across the New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia regions. The successful candidate will drive our B2B initiative for Jang-based sauces and will play a key role in expanding our reach within the foodservice and franchise restaurant sectors. This position requires prior Sales Manager experience with foodservice distributors or American restaurant franchise brokerage firms in the Philly or New York metro areas.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Target Achievement
- Develop sales opportunities with mainstream foodservice accounts, with local and regional franchise chains as priorities.
- Identify potential customers through market research and cultivate new business opportunities.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Pursue new placement opportunities to drive incremental growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing foodservice accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for their needs and inquiries.
- Support and promote the brand through product demonstrations, training, targeted sampling, and end-user engagement.
- Proactively handle product-related claims and provide effective resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Product Knowledge and Training
- Develop a deep understanding of the clients product line (especially sauces), ingredients, and unique selling points.
- Deliver product introduction presentations to distributor sales teams and regional restaurant chains.
- Represent the company at trade association meetings, food shows, and trade shows to promote products and strengthen brand visibility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of account or sales management experience in the food industry, particularly within the food service channel.
- Experience managing franchise restaurant accounts is required.
- Sales Manager experience with a Philly or NY-side foodservice distributor company or an American restaurant franchise brokerage is highly preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency preferred: English (Proficient/Advanced) and Korean (Intermediate or lower).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Valid drivers license and ability to commute to the New Jersey office and travel to the manufacturing facility near Philadelphia.
Preferred:
- Experience with local or ethnic sauce categories.
- Established relationships with regional foodservice distributors, brokers, and franchise restaurant groups.
