Position Summary
The Associate – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping in Tally, processing payments for vendors and consultants, and verifying and accounting for employee reimbursements. The role will also support statutory compliance related to tax deductions at source (TDS).
The position will report to the Finance Manager and will work closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain books of accounts using the Tally accounting package
- Process and validate payments for vendors and consultants
- Verify, account for, and process employee reimbursement claims
- Ensure compliance with TDS regulations, including accurate deduction and documentation
- Support routine accounting and finance operations as required by the finance team
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com)
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in basic accounting functions
- Prior experience in accounting and use of Tally
- Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new accounting processes
- Prior exposure to social sector / non-profit accounting is preferred
Location and Compensation
Location: The role can be based out of Delhi . Travel to other states may be required.
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy and social sector pay scales and will depend on the candidates experience levels.
