About Us

We're looking for a Director of AI to lead and scale our high-performing team of scientists and engineers, guiding projects from ideation to real-world impact.

Role Overview

As Director of AI, youll own the AI roadmap, drive strategy, and provide hands-on technical leadership in machine learning and systems deployment. You'll be responsible for leading LLM-focused R&D, optimizing models for performance and scalability, and ensuring efficient delivery of AI-powered features across products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a world-class AI team across research and engineering.
  • Architect and guide development of state-of-the-art machine learning systems, especially in LLMs and generative AI.
  • Ensure reliable, scalable deployment of models using modern DevOps and MLOps practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, backend, and infrastructure teams to align AI capabilities with business goals.
  • Maintain high technical standards, encourage innovation, and foster a strong engineering culture.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML with strong programming skills.
    • 2+ years of experience managing technical teams, including mentoring and performance management.
  • Languages & Frameworks: Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and low-level optimization with Triton.
  • Tooling: Deep experience with Docker, AWS, FastAPI, and experiment tracking tools (e.g., Weights & Biases).
  • Data & Versioning: Familiarity with DVC or similar tools for model/data versioning and reproducibility.
  • LLMs: Solid understanding of transformer architectures, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, and/or model distillation.
  • Deployment: Experience with scalable model deployment and performance tuning.

Bonus Points

  • Publications or open-source contributions in ML/AI.
  • Experience with distributed training, inference optimization, or model serving at scale.
  • Background in compliance-heavy or regulated AI deployment environments.
