Central Square Foundation (CSF) is a non-profit organisation working to improve the learning outcomes of all school-going children in India through system-led reforms. Founded in 2012, CSF works with governments, non-profits, and ecosystem partners to drive large-scale impact in Foundational Literacy & Numeracy (FLN), EdTech integration, Early Childhood Education (ECE), and School Governance.
Our EdTech work focuses on leveraging technology to strengthen teaching and learning both in classrooms and at home. We support the ecosystem by:
- Providing grants to early-stage organisations to improve quality and supply
- Building evidence on the efficacy of EdTech interventions to inform “what works.”
- Advising state governments to integrate EdTech meaningfully in their systems.
- Driving policy advocacy and strengthening government capacity for scale and sustainability.
Position Summary
The Project Manager will support program design and implementation across multiple states. The role focuses on enabling CSF’s government partnerships to unlock adoption and drive implementation of evidence-backed EdTech initiatives. This includes building government salience, supporting state teams through field studies, and consolidating learnings from geographies and partners into public goods that strengthen EdTech programs.
The individual will take end-to-end ownership of high-priority, tightly scoped projects to drive implementation of government EdTech programscovering program design, planning, budgeting, execution, and partner engagement. They will work closely with CSF leadership, state teams, government officials and research & ecosystem partners to advance the integration of EdTech into India’s public education system.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Leads in unlocking and strengthening government engagement at central and state levels, driving adoption and scale-up.
- Design EdTech programs and drive on-ground implementation as part of government engagement.
- Synthesize insights from state programs and field visits, and disseminate learnings internally and externally.
- Co-create public goods (frameworks, toolkits, reports) with ecosystem partners to enable systemic adoption of EdTech.
- Support the creation of communication collaterals to inform national policies.
- Partner with CSF’s communications team to draft op-eds, blogs, briefs, and media content that build government salience and expand EdTech’s reach.
- Ensure structured knowledge management, cross-learning, and documentation of various EdTech initiatives..
- Conduct secondary research to inform EdTech strategy, salience, and program design.
Required Qualifications, Skills and abilities
- Education: Bachelors degree required, Masters in business, economics, education, or public policy preferred.
- Experience: PM: 2 to 4 years/ SPM: 4 to 6 years; Exposure to education or EdTech is highly desirable.
- Mindset: Entrepreneurial, collaborative, resourceful, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Strong background in project/program management with multi-stakeholder contexts preferred
- Ability to prioritise and deliver across multiple projects; excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience of working in teams and building strong external relationships.
Compensation
Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and commensurate with experience.
