Job brief
Our CFO Advisory team is urgently looking to hire a fractional CFO to support our Fintech client, 3 Days a week, a brief outline of the requirements are outlined below.
Responsibilities
- Oversee functions involved in the purchase, pricing, investments, debt management, and accounts payable and receivable
- Provide leadership and guidance to all functional teams within their remit
- Provide strategic and tactical recommendations to the CEOs and members of the executive team on growth, cost optimisation, capability development
- Assist in building out financial forecasts and preparation of budgets
- Oversee the preparation of Month-end, Quarter-end and Year-end financial reports
- Assist the executive team with long-term financial and business planning
- Understand and influence the adoption of automation and intelligent systems for business intelligence, financial management, and growth
- Establish and maintain good relationships with all key stakeholders including landowners, community associations, employees, suppliers, customers, regulators, and investors
- Track cash flow and analyze our client's financial weaknesses and strength, whilst proposing corrective actions
- Lead and motivate staff to achieve organisational objectives
- Mentor and inspire employees to strongly align and deliver to the vision and operating plan
- Collaborate with the board to establish policies and procedures that promote and improve our client's vision, culture, and compliance to legal and ethical practices
- Work closely with the CEO and other stakeholders to raise capital for our client and carry out other business-expanding strategies
- Own and execute special projects assigned by the CEO and/or our Client's Board
Requirements
- Proven experience as CFO or similar leadership role within a fast-paced Fintech environment.
- Commercially astute professional who leads from the front, works well with non-finance teams, and has a strong knowledge of financial management principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a finance team in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive business growth and improve profitability.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong financial acumen, including financial strategy development, governance, and risk management.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
