About the job Scriptwriter - PT - UK/EU

What we need A part-time freelance scriptwriter to produce 10 short-form video scripts per month for our social content (LinkedIn and YouTube). Ongoing, remote. European hours preferred but flexible — consistent delivery is what matters.

Background on us We're a specialist SAP recruitment agency working across the European market. Short-form video is our main content channel and we're building a name as a credible, data-driven voice in the SAP talent space. The content is technical and aimed at a senior, knowledgeable audience.

The work

  • This isn't just writing to a brief — we need someone who can come up with the video angles themselves. They'd source topics from market signals: SAP acquisition and partnership news, Gartner-type stats, technology shifts, trade and regulatory developments, and so on.
  • The crucial part: every angle has to tie back to hiring. We're a recruitment agency, not an SAP publication. People come to us for the talent story — what a development means for demand, contractor and salary rates, candidate availability and numbers, skills shortages, who's hiring and who's struggling to. So a piece of SAP news is only the way in; the script has to land on what it means for the people market. If a writer hands us a straight tech explainer, they've missed the point.
  • Each script is short-form: 45–60 seconds, roughly 100–120 words. Voice is punchy, declarative, opinionated — authority without jargon. They'd also draft a short LinkedIn caption for each one.

A note on research Research will be done with AI tools and public sources. To start, the writer will work exclusively with publicly available information — no internal data or systems access. If trust is established over time, there is potential to expand access to internal tools and data. Any specific figures pulled (rates, stats, numbers) must be verified before they go into a script. We need someone rigorous about this; a confidently wrong number damages our credibility more than no number at all.

Who we want Mid to senior level. If mid-level, experience needs to be highly relevant — we want a properly qualified writer, not a generalist who's picked up copywriting across unrelated roles.

  • Background in tech journalism or B2B tech marketing/content, ideally from reputable publications, agencies, or tech companies
  • Able to research and originate ideas, and instinctively find the angle that matters to our audience — the hiring and talent implications, not just the tech
  • Rigorous about verifying data and sourcing claims properly
  • A real writing process — structure, editing, writing to a tight word count
  • Excellent written English, native or native-level (non-negotiable given the audience and brand)
  • Reliable monthly delivery

Nice to have: short-form/social video experience, and any familiarity with enterprise software, recruitment, or professional services.

Ideal candidate evidence CV plus 2–3 writing samples — strong preference for B2B tech, but samples from adjacent verticals or related industries will be considered. Ideally pieces where the writer originated the angle themselves and connected a broader story to a specific commercial or market implication. We'll judge mostly on the samples and the credibility of their background.
