Senior Cisco Security

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cisco Security Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting advanced Cisco security solutions for our clients as well as
maintaining our internal infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco security technologies, strong networking fundamentals, and excellent project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Project Implementation

• Design, configure, and implement comprehensive Cisco security solutions including Secure Firewall, Defense Orchestrator, Duo, and Breach Protection Security Suite
• Conduct project planning, kickoff meetings, and regular status updates with clients
• Create detailed network architecture diagrams and security implementation plans
• Perform migrations from existing security infrastructure to new Cisco solutions
• Configure security policies, zones, interfaces, and advanced features
• Test and validate implemented security solutions
• Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to client teams
• Complete projects according to defined scope, timeline, and quality standards

Client Network Support

• Support existing client network infrastructure with a focus on security systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve network security issues in a timely manner
• Perform security assessments and recommend improvements
• Implement security patches and updates
• Monitor security systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Respond to security incidents and escalations
• Provide regular maintenance and health checks for client security systems

Internal Infrastructure Support

• Maintain and enhance our internal network security infrastructure
• Implement security best practices across our company network
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security frameworks
• Monitor and respond to security events affecting internal systems
• Collaborate with IT team on infrastructure improvements
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing

Professional Development & Team Collaboration

• Stay current with emerging security threats and Cisco technology advancements
• Maintain and upgrade professional certifications
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
• Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge base
• Participate in team meetings and strategic planning sessions

Required Qualifications

Certifications

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security
Cisco Certified Specialist - Security Core
At least one of the following specialty certifications:
o Cisco Certified Specialist - Firewall
o Cisco Certified Specialist - Identity Management

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering with focus on Cisco technologies
• 3+ years of experience implementing and supporting Cisco security products
• Proven track record of successful security project implementations

Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge of Cisco Secure Firewall platforms and Threat Defense
• Strong experience with Cisco Defense Orchestrator
• Proficient with multi-factor authentication solutions, particularly Cisco Duo
• Familiarity with Cisco Breach Protection Security Suite
• Advanced networking knowledge (routing, switching, VPN, NAT)
• Experience with network security best practices and frameworks
• Understanding of security compliance requirements (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.)
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting and packet analysis
• Knowledge of virtualization and cloud security concepts

• Knowledge of additional security vendor products (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
• Cloud security experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
