Dental Eligibility and Benefits Verification Specialist

Position Summary:

You will be responsible for verifying dental insurance benefits, preparing patient benefit reports, and

handling recall appointment scheduling. Full training is provided for our EMR system, but strong attention to

detail and excellent communication skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:

Insurance Verification (Primary Task)

Verify patient dental insurance eligibility and benefits at least 3 days before appointments.

Gather details such as:

Frequency limitations

Percentage coverage per procedure

Deductibles

Remaining annual benefits

Confirm coverage for common dental procedure codes (exams, cleanings, X-rays, fluoride,

sealants, debridement, etc.).

Compile findings into a PDF report for each patient.

Email completed reports to Business1@bartondental.net on time.

Recall Appointment Management

Call patients from our recall list to schedule overdue cleanings and maintenance visits.

Types of appointments include:

Adult prophylaxis

Child prophylaxis

Periodontal maintenance

Use our EMR system to document communication and schedule appointments (training provided).

Qualifications:

Proficient with Windows 11 Professional

Fluent and clear English communication

Strong organizational and follow-through skills

Ability to learn dental codes and terminology

Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace

Dental experience is a plus, but not required
