Job Summary:
The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing and executing search engine optimization strategies to improve organic search rankings, website traffic, and conversions. This role involves keyword research, on-page and off-page SEO, technical SEO, performance tracking, and collaboration with content, web development, and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Optimize website structure, content, and metadata for search engines
- Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, headers, URLs, and internal linking
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues (site speed, crawlability, indexing, mobile usability, Core Web Vitals)
- Collaborate with developers to implement SEO best practices
- Work with content writers to ensure SEO-friendly content creation
- Optimize existing content to improve rankings and user engagement
- Identify content gaps based on keyword and SERP analysis
- Plan and execute ethical link-building and outreach strategies
- Monitor backlink profiles and disavow harmful links if needed
- Monitor SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms
- Track keyword rankings, traffic, conversions, and ROI
- Prepare regular SEO performance reports and actionable insights
- Stay updated with Google algorithm updates and SEO industry trends
- Recommend improvements based on changes in search behavior and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- Proven experience in SEO or digital marketing
- Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO
- Familiarity with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog)
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with eCommerce SEO or local SEO
- Understanding of CRO, UX, and content marketing
- Experience working with developers and cross-functional teams
