My client is looking for a commercially astute sales professional who thrives on building long-term client relationships while driving new opportunities. Rotaform Plastics is seeking an energetic Business Development & Account Manager to join our team to support our retention and growth strategy.

Rotaform are more than a plastics supplier we are a Design and Production Management Company. We partner with clients to design, manage, and oversee production, ensuring innovation, quality, and customised solutions that stand out across New Zealand.

The Role

In this hybrid role, you'll balance farmer and hunter responsibilities:

  • Retention (80%) Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, spotting upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and strengthening long-term partnerships.
  • Growth (20%) Proactively identify and target high-value prospects, convert leads into new business, and expand Rotaforms customer base through networking, referrals, and on-the-road visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships through regular client visits and tailored solutions.
  • Deliver exceptional account management, ensuring retention and growth.
  • Generate new business opportunities via outbound prospecting and marketing leads.
  • Develop and present proposals that align with client needs.
  • Maintain accurate records in Close CRM (or similar) to manage pipelines and track performance.
  • Share insights on customer needs and market shifts to shape business strategy.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and logistics teams for seamless service delivery.

What Were Looking For

  • 310 years proven success in business development and account management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong English comprehension to support effective negotiations and engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable with activity-based targets and reporting.
  • Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel.
  • Background in plastics, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.
