About the job Maintenance Manager
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to ensure efficient operation of plant equipment, facilities, and production processes within a food manufacturing environment.
The Maintenance Manager will lead maintenance teams, manage capital and expense projects, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and support plant operational efficiency.
This role requires strong leadership experience along with a solid background in mechanical systems, electrical systems, refrigeration, and food production environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop plant processing line layouts to support operational improvements and facility expansions
• Coordinate planning and execution of plant additions or modifications
• Ensure all OSHA safety regulations and compliance policies are followed and maintained
• Lead and manage maintenance and engineering personnel to support plant operations
• Develop and oversee capital and expense budget projects
• Manage relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed efficiently
• Address operational issues within the facility in a timely and organized manner
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional departments
• Lead and direct maintenance teams to support continuous production operations
Required Qualifications
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical fields
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in food manufacturing
• Experience in bread, batter, fryer, or protein processing environments
• Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with teams across multiple departments
