About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an established luxury residential builder seeking an experienced Residential Construction Manager to lead construction operations and oversee the successful execution of multiple custom home projects. This role serves as the operational leader for the construction department, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Construction Manager will coordinate closely with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and internal teams to create clear schedules, maintain accountability across projects, and drive consistent execution in the field. This position requires someone who understands residential construction from the ground up and can confidently bridge the gap between field operations and company leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple residential construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Develop and manage master construction schedules across active projects
  • Coordinate superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project sequencing
  • Support and mentor superintendents while maintaining accountability for quality, safety, and schedule
  • Collaborate with estimating, design, and leadership teams to review scope, budgets, and project logistics
  • Monitor project progress, approve subcontractor work, and address issues proactively
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, change orders, and site reporting
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, architects, and trade partners
  • Oversee project closeout including punch lists, final inspections, and warranty handoff

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of residential construction experience, ideally with custom homes or high-end renovations
  • Strong understanding of residential building systems including foundations, framing, and finishes
  • Experience managing multiple projects and leading field teams
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable balancing time between the office and job sites

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to regularly walk active job sites and climb ladders or access roofs when necessary
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Schedule flexibility based on project needs

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $150,000 – $170,000, depending on experience
