We're looking for a seasoned Abatement Estimator who understands the nuances of asbestos, lead, and mold abatement and can seamlessly move between estimating and project management. Youll play a key role in bidding new work, nurturing client relationships, managing compliance, and leading abatement projects from start to finish.
Youll be walking into a company that is respected and well-networked in the Houston market, with established connections to consultants, contractors, and property owners. Key Responsibilities
Attend site walkthroughs and job inspections with clients, property owners, and environmental consultants
Review environmental surveys (asbestos, lead, mold) and create accurate, competitive estimates
Prepare and submit bids for public and private sector projects, including government-regulated work
Maintain and grow strong relationships with consultants, general contractors, and property managers
Oversee awarded projects through planning, field mobilization, compliance, and close-out
Collaborate with field crews and supervisors to ensure adherence to abatement regulations and job specifications
Help develop operational processes and strategies for future estimating success
Ensure licensing, permitting, and documentation are in place for all projects (TDSHS, OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of experience in environmental abatement estimating (asbestos required; lead/mold a plus)
Deep understanding of abatement regulations, safety standards, and documentation requirements in Texas
Experience estimating commercial, industrial, and residential projects
Ability to read and interpret environmental reports, blueprints, and bid documents
Familiarity with industry players and consultants in the Houston area
- A strong network or book of business is highly desirable
Confident communicator with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
