Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, following recipes and presentation guidelines to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment by adhering to strict hygiene practices and regularly cleaning workstations, equipment, and utensils.
- Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and rotated according to food safety standards to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Inspect and prepare ingredients with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring freshness, quality, and correct portion sizes before use.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures closely to ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection, following established culinary standards.
- Work collaboratively with the entire service team to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service, including coordinating with servers and other cooks.
- Adhere to portion control standards and minimize waste by accurately measuring and preparing ingredients.
- Continuously strive for excellence by staying updated on industry trends, refining culinary skills, and seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food, use of kitchen equipment, and personal protective gear.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, ensuring that every dish leaving the kitchen is visually appealing and meets the restaurant's quality expectations.
Qualifications:
- Food Handler Certification or Food Manager Certification is a plus.
- Prior kitchen experience is preferred
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely and consistently reproduce dishes.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
