A cutting edge opportunity has arisen with a worldwide market leading multinational engineering company working with clients in the automotive, aerospace, renewable, scientific, pharmaceutical, electronics, oil and gas and food processing industries they are recruiting an Actuators Engineer, someone with a degree Electrical Engineering,  Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering and a year's practical engineering experience. 

Location: Milton Keynes

The Role: 

We are looking for an engineer to provide product support subsidiaries of the business. The role involves supporting  Electric Actuators by answering technical questions, assisting with customer applications and troubleshooting. This support will involve setting up and programming PLCs, motor drivers and industrial communications (PROFINET, EtherCAT, IO-Link, etc.). The successful candidate will also be required to design and deliver training courses/presentations to European subsidiaries, write user manuals and technical guides, and carry out investigations and tests to evaluate the company's products.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Degree or HND Qualification -Electrical Engineering,  Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of PLCs and Ladder or Structured Text programming language
  • Knowledge of electrical motion control for industrial applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed, technical reports and product documentation
  • The ability to occasionally travel to Europe
