Mechanical Development Engineer

An exciting fresh opening for a Development Engineer with a leading multinational engineering company who currently design and develop futuristic factory automation products for covering various industries including Automotive, Scientific, Aerospace, Renewable Energy, Space, Medical, Food Processing and Consumer Products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. New product development

1. Support for customer questions via phone and e-mail

1. Process requests for special products and variations

1. Analyse, check and report writing on customer product returns

1. Market product analysis & understanding

1. Supporting sales force with customer visits and application development

1. Product management including training, new product introduction and supersession of discontinued product ranges

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

1. Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

1. Able to communicate proficiently via telephone and email with both internal and external customers

1. A methodical problem solver who is logical, organised and able to keep clear comprehensive records

1. Ability to clearly and effectively present technical subjects, face-to-face and via webinar

1. Experience working within an Engineering environment

1. Hands-on testing and diagnostic experience

1. Experience handling multiple projects with ability to prioritise, manage own time, and meet deadlines

Desirable Experience:

1. Hands-on testing and diagnostic experience

1. Pneumatic or hydraulic systems or system design experience

1. Previous experience or working within a Technical Sales Support or applications role may be beneficial.
