Director of Sports

We are looking for a Director of Sports for an International School based in Shanghai. This is a full-time position starting from August 2025 academic year.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and manage a comprehensive sports program aligned with the schools mission
• Introduce new sports and ensure inclusivity and high standards
• Recruit, train, and supervise coaching staff
• Foster a positive sports culture promoting teamwork and growth
• Monitor academic and athletic progress, offering guidance and support
• Conduct evaluations and provide professional development
• Organize and oversee inter-school, regional, and international sports events
• Manage sports facilities, equipment, and budget efficiently
• Build relationships with parents, alumni, and the community
• Represent the school at sports-related events and meetings
• Collaborate on infrastructure improvements
• Ensure safety and compliance during all activities

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher status with 3-5 years of teaching experience
• Knowledge of world-class science curriculums, including UK and International, and their assessment methods
• Proficiency in addressing individual needs through differentiated instruction and diverse learning strategies
• Experience in sports administration, coaching, or a related role, preferably in an international school setting.

Salary and benefits

• Monthly salary is 40,000 to 50,000 RMB negotiable commensurate with experience and qualifications
