About the job Dispatcher
This role is responsible for ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products to the Customers, preparation of documents and logs related to delivery and compliance of the Drivers with DOT Standards.
Responsibilities
The Employee will:
- Receive & schedule the efficient delivery of orders from Commercial accounts, both Fuels and Lubricants.
- Determine inventory of products at Retail sites and plan for the delivery to avoid stock outs.
- Prepare all documents related to delivery (inland, bunkers), such as invoice, discharge checklists, bunker notice, meter tickets, journey plan, marpol form, and others. Including notifications to the Port and regulatory agencies for all tanker truck and pipeline bunkering operations.
- Input the data required in the Road Transport Data Log and ensure the log is up to date (within 3 days from last delivery)
- Review Drivers Log, Duty hours, and Driving hours and ensure compliance with DOT requirements
- Monitor Drivers credentials, licenses, and training requirements to ensure all are updated and in compliance to DOT requirements and local regulatory requirements.
- Monitor Trucks' licenses, and relevant permits to ensure all are updated and in compliance to DOT requirements and local regulatory requirements.
- Perform as back up Terminal Operator during Tanker Discharge Operations, Gantry Loading, and other Terminal Operator duties including issuance of Contractor work permits.
- Perform as back up Driver during Gantry Loading, Deliveries to customers and other Driver duties.
- Assist the Palau Operations Supervisor in the procurement of materials and services by gathering quotes, communication with vendors, prepare material/work requests, and other activities.
- Submit reports as required both internally and externally in a timely manner.
- Attend all required operations meetings, trainings, drills & exercises; and assist on the quarterly emergency notification drills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Palau Operations Supervisor.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of related experience.
- Drivers License for operating heavy goods trucks.

Working Conditions
May spend up to 50% of time out of doors exposed to potentially difficult environmental conditions. May be subject to irregular work schedules, temperature, weather and outside environment extremes, tight delivery schedules, delays enroute and other stresses and fatigues related to driving a large commercial motor vehicle on crowded streets and highways in all kinds of weather.
