About the job Enterprise Sales Apprentice
The Enterprise Sales Apprentice supports the Enterprise Sales team in engaging business customers, preparing sales documentation, conducting basic site assessments, coordinating service orders, and managing day-to-day client communication. This role is intended as a stepping-stone toward becoming a full Enterprise Account Manager. The apprentice manages smaller business accounts and assists Account Managers on mid-sized and strategic opportunities, while building deeper knowledge of IT&Es telecommunications and Managed IT product portfolio.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Sales Activation
- Sell at or above assigned sales quota.
- Attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct basic outreach to existing and prospective business customers, including follow-ups, appointment setting, and introductory consultations.
- Handle small business accounts with low to medium complexity under the supervision of an Account Manager.
- Assist in gathering customer requirements during meetings, calls, or site visits.
- Present standard product offerings and pricing to customers, escalating complex technical or commercial questions to Account Managesrs.
Sales Documentation & Proposal Assistance
- Prepare draft proposals, quotations, and sales packets based on customer needs and guidance from Account Managers.
- Update CRM entries, maintain accurate records of customer interactions, and track proposal and sales progress.
- Support Account Managers in preparing presentations, cost estimates, and technical documentation for mid-sized opportunities.
Site Surveys & Order Coordination
- Conduct basic preliminary site assessments to capture photos, diagrams, and layout details needed for installation planning.
- Coordinate service order submissions, follow up with Service Delivery teams, and update customers on progress.
- Assist in resolving minor service and trouble reports by routing them to the appropriate support channels and monitoring resolution.
Internal Collaboration
- Work with Sales, Technical, Customer Care, and Service Delivery teams to help move opportunities from lead to installation.
- Participate in team huddles, sales meetings, and product briefings to stay current on new solutions and updates.
- Provide input for departmental reports by contributing data and status updates.
Learning & Professional Development
- Complete required training on fiber, fixed wireless, business systems, and Managed IT services.
- Develop competence in sales techniques, opportunity qualification, and product positioning.
- Shadow Account Managers on complex accounts to build confidence and technical knowledge for future promotion.
General Duties
- Assist with administrative tasks, sales event preparations, and marketing activities as needed.
- Know and uphold the established IT&E Mission, policies and procedures, relevant provisions of the union agreement, Department and Division objections, quality assurance and safety programs and standards.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Sales Manager to support the goals of the Enterprise Sales department.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Must provide a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a US citizen or resident alien.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must be a resident of Guam for a period not less than three (3) consecutive years before entry into the program.
- Mayors Verification must be submitted upon hire.
- Must be able to attend a minimum of two (2) classes per semester as identified by program coordinator, while working forty (40) hours per week with IT&E.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- One year of customer service, administrative, or sales support experience
- Telecommunications or IT experience is an advantage

About IT&E
Formerly Micronesian Telecommunications Corp, IT&E was a part of Verizon International. CITADEL acquired IT&E in 2005 after successfully navigating the US CIFUS process and the Federal Communications Commission. In 2006, a partnership was established with Sumitomo Corporation, one of Japans largest trading houses, which invested in the company as part of its telecommunications push. The company acquired IT&E in Guam, and together, became the largest wireless provider in Micronesia. The entire company was renamed IT&E.
