Position overview
The People Partner acts as a strategic advisor to business leaders, driving performance, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring a high-performing, engaged workforce. This role balances hands-on HR operations with strategic partnerships to enable business growth and organizational effectiveness.
As a People Partner at our company, we expect you to be responsible for:
1. Performance Management & Leadership Support
- Partner with managers to improve team performance, address capability gaps, and strengthen leadership effectiveness.
- Coach leaders on performance improvement, employee development, and appropriate handling of disciplinary matters.
- Lead and support structured performance review cycles and promote a culture of continuous feedback.
- Develop clear, actionable performance and development plans aligned with business goals.
2. Employee Relations & Workplace Culture
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Manage employee relations cases with professionalism, objectivity, and risk awareness.
- Provide clear guidance on policies and ensure fair, consistent application across teams.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases appropriately to protect the organization and its people.
3. Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations
- Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and internal changes.
- Deliver responsive first-line HR support across employee inquiries (policies, leave, employment verification, employee data).
4. Strategic Business Partnership
- Support organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and employee experience.
- Promote and actively support company-wide initiatives to ensure alignment and engagement across teams.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and governance standards.
- Mitigate organizational risk through proactive guidance and compliant HR practices.
6. Manager & People Check-Ins
- Implement structured manager check-ins to strengthen leadership accountability and team performance.
- Establish regular employee check-ins to increase engagement, surface risks early, and identify development opportunities.
Coach managers to lead with clarity, empathy, and accountability.
Required skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in an HR advisory or HR Business Partner role, supporting business leaders in dynamic environments.
Strong knowledge of Serbian labour law.
- Experience using HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
- Fluent in English and Serbian (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience supporting remote or hybrid teams.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Proactive, adaptable, and committed to process improvement and continuous development.
