Senior Project Manager – Aviation/Transit

A global architecture and engineering firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex Aviation transportation infrastructure projects from their Toronto office. The firm works across multiple international markets and brings together multidisciplinary teams of architects and engineers to deliver large-scale infrastructure and civic projects.

This role will focus on the delivery of aviation, transit, and multimodal transportation projects, supporting clients across both the public and private sectors. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, coordination, and execution while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual commitments.

The position requires a strong leader who can manage complex project teams, maintain client relationships, and oversee project financial performance throughout all phases of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transportation infrastructure projects from planning through delivery

  • Develop and manage project scope, work plans, schedules, and budgets

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and consultants

  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control for project documentation and deliverables

  • Monitor project financial performance and forecast revenue

  • Manage project changes and negotiate solutions with clients when scope adjustments occur

  • Coordinate with contractors, sub-consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction

  • Act as the primary client liaison, maintaining strong client relationships

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline

  • 15+ years of professional experience managing complex design and infrastructure projects

  • Experience delivering transportation-related projects, including aviation or transit infrastructure

  • Familiarity working with major public agencies such as airport authorities, transit agencies, or regional infrastructure bodies is considered an asset

  • Strong understanding of building systems, codes, permits, and construction documentation

  • Proven experience in project financial management, strategic planning, and client leadership

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills
