Architectural Project Lead / Intermediate Architect

City Build Recruitment is partnering with an architecture firm seeking an Architectural Project Lead / Intermediate Architect to join their team immediately to support a Toronto Community Housing (TCH) retrofit project.

This role is ideal for someone with strong technical experience in multi-unit residential projects who is comfortable working within production teams and contributing to drawing packages for large-scale retrofit work.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a major residential retrofit project, working closely with senior architects and project teams to develop working drawings and coordinate project documentation.

Experience with renovation, adaptive reuse, and building upgrades will be highly beneficial in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery
Prepare and coordinate working drawings and technical documentation
Support the development of construction drawing packages
Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants

Project Support
Assist in the execution of retrofit and renovation work for multi-unit residential buildings
Contribute to design and technical coordination across project phases
Support project teams during the construction phase as needed

Qualifications

5–10 years of professional architectural experience
Strong experience working on multi-unit residential projects
Demonstrated experience producing working drawings and technical documentation
Experience with construction administration is considered an asset
Experience in retrofits, renovations, or adaptive reuse projects is considered an asset
