Compensation: $100,000–$130,000+ (flexible for the right candidate)

About the Role

City Build Recruitment is partnering with a growing construction firm, to recruit a Project Manager as part of continued expansion. This position is currently not tied to a single project; rather, our client is seeking a capable and adaptable Project Manager who can step in and confidently manage projects as they come online.

This role is well suited to a mid- to senior-level Project Manager who is comfortable operating independently, managing multiple stakeholders, and navigating evolving project timelines within a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Projects: 50% Stip-Sum, and then the other half fluctuates with CM and Design Build

• Lead construction projects from pre-construction through to closeout

• Manage schedules, budgets, contracts, and consultant coordination

• Work closely with Site Superintendents to ensure effective site execution

• Communicate clearly with clients, consultants, trades, and internal teams

• Identify and manage project risks, timelines, and deliverables

• Coordinate with accounting on cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting

• Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and workflows

Ideal Background & Experience

• Mid- to senior-level Project Management experience in construction

• Strong background in commercial and corporate interiors projects

• Exposure to industrial and/or residential projects is considered an asset

• Experience across a diverse range of project types strongly preferred

• Ability to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving scopes

• Comfortable taking ownership of projects with minimal oversight

Reporting Structure

• Reports to one of two senior operational Project Managers (company partners)

• Day-to-day reporting may vary depending on project assignments

• Formal structure in place for performance reviews and development

Personality & Cultural Fit

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with site teams, accounting, and leadership

• Positive, professional presence within a close-knit team environment

• Values teamwork and shared project success

Compensation & Benefits

• Target salary range: $110,000–$130,000

• Flexibility available for:

  • Strong senior-level Project Managers

  • Exceptional candidates outside the core range

• Minimum 3 weeks of vacation depending on the seniority 

• Hybrid work model: 4 days in office, 1 day work-from-home
