Construction Project Manager

City Build Recruitment is partnering with a growing design-build and construction firm seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead specialized industrial and multi-disciplinary construction projects across Southwestern Ontario.
This role is ideal for a hands-on project leader who thrives in a client-facing environment and is comfortable managing projects from pre-construction through completion. Projects typically range from $1M–$20M and require strong coordination across consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Role Overview
The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction and renovation projects including estimating, scheduling, execution, and closeout. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for clients while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership
- Lead 2–4 construction projects concurrently, acting as the primary client interface
- Manage project planning, scheduling, and execution from pre-construction through closeout
- Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, and project teams
- Construction Management
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, scheduling, and site coordination
- Monitor scope, schedule, and cost changes while maintaining project documentation
- Ensure site safety standards and compliance are maintained
- Address project issues proactively and resolve deficiencies efficiently
Client and Stakeholder Coordination
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Liaise with owner representatives to ensure project expectations are achieved
- Communicate project updates and manage project risks effectively
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, ACET, APFM, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a Construction Project Manager or Construction Manager role
- Experience managing industrial or multi-disciplinary construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and project delivery models
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office, and Procore
- Certifications such as PMP, GSC, or LEED AP are considered an asset.
