A nationally recognized architecture and design firm with offices across Canada is seeking a Senior Project Architect, Senior Associate (Aviation) to join its Toronto team. The firm works across multiple sectors including commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, public, industrial, transportation, and aviation.
The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role requiring proven aviation project experience. The successful candidate will provide high-level design direction, oversee complex projects from concept through construction, mentor team members, and contribute to business development and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design process from concept through construction documentation and contract administration

Provide senior design oversight on large, complex aviation projects

Guide and mentor project teams

Collaborate with project managers on scope, budgets, schedules, and staffing
-
Lead client meetings, presentations, and consultant coordination
-
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulatory authorities
-
Contribute to business development, proposal submissions, and client pursuits

Support firm leadership in resourcing, performance management, and operational initiatives
Qualifications
-
Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited program
-
Registered Architect in good standing with a provincial regulatory body

15+ years of professional experience, including significant aviation project work

Strong leadership and project management experience

Experience delivering complex public sector or institutional projects

Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and client relationships

Proficiency in Revit (AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite considered assets)

Strong communication, presentation, and business development skills

Eligibility for required security clearances considered an asset
