Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Surveillance Operator to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This is a dual role, including work in the control room as well as static within same client domain. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents as they arise. The Surveillance Operator will play a crucial role in loss prevention and maintaining a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities or breaches of security.
- Conduct regular checks of surveillance footage to identify potential threats or incidents.
- Report any unusual behaviour or incidents to the appropriate authorities promptly.
- Assist in investigations related to theft, vandalism, or other criminal activities by providing relevant footage and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs of surveillance activities and incidents for record-keeping purposes.
- Collaborate with security personnel to enhance overall safety measures within the facility.
- Stay updated on best practices in surveillance technology and loss prevention strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in surveillance operations or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and monitoring software is essential.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent observational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and collaboration.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management
- CCTV and DS licence is essential
- Driving licence and access to a car is essential
