Residential Conveyancing Secretary / Paralegal

Location: Bromsgrove

Type: Full-Time, Office-Based

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

Salary: Up to £26,000 dependent on experience 


We are currently working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded law firm in Bromsgrove, who are looking to appoint an experienced Residential Conveyancing Secretary / Paralegal to join their busy Property Services team.

This is a full-time, permanent position, and the role is fully office-based. Remote or hybrid working is not available for this post.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Property Services, providing day-to-day support across all stages of the residential conveyancing process. This is a support role, and you will not be required to run your own caseload or work in a fee-earning capacity.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting SDLT forms, Transfer Deeds, and Replies to Requisitions
  • Handling basic enquiries and producing case management letters
  • Managing AML (Anti-Money Laundering) onboarding procedures
  • Opening and closing case files
  • Communicating with clients and estate agents to provide regular updates
  • Performing general secretarial and administrative duties relating to conveyancing

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years experience in a residential conveyancing support role
  • Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and associated documentation
  • Excellent telephone manner and client-facing communication skills
  • High accuracy and speed in typing and administrative tasks
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload, meeting tight deadlines
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  • A professional, proactive, and well-organised approach to work
