CCTV Operator 
Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 
Pay Rate: £14.08 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Average 42 hours per week 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
Shift Type: Days and Nights

About the Role
We are currently seeking a professional and reliable CCTV Operator / Security Officer to join our clients dedicated security team  This is a key position responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and retailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems and respond promptly to incidents or alarms
• Manage site access control and maintain accurate access/egress records
• Maintain daily logbooks and registers
• Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly service
• Notify relevant staff upon visitor arrival and manage appointment tracking
• Answer telephone calls and handle enquiries appropriately
• Handle mail and deliveries efficiently
• Assist visitors upon departure, including arranging transportation if needed
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Monitor and authorise entry and exit of employees and visitors
• Contact emergency services when required
• Check alarm circuits and ensure building systems are functioning properly
• Uphold high standards of presentation and housekeeping in the control room

Requirements

• Valid SIA Security Licence (essential)

• CCTV Licence (essential)

• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)

• Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Confident in using computers and operating CCTV systems

• Professional appearance and conduct at all times

• Ability to work independently (lone working required)
