We are scaling rapidly and seeking a highly skilled, strategic, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial operations and enable sustainable growth.

Position Summary:

The CFO will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company including strategic planning, budgeting, capital management, reporting, compliance, and investor relations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in fintech, startups, or financial services, and strong expertise navigating Tanzanias regulatory and business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with CK Fundeds growth objectives.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes with accuracy and agility.

• Manage cash flow, capital allocation, and financial risk to ensure liquidity and profitability.

• Oversee payout controls, expense management, and financial reconciliations with precision.

• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards.

• Establish strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks.

• Prepare and present timely, clear, and insightful financial reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.

• Lead fundraising efforts including investor relations, pitch preparation, due diligence, and capital deployment.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Product, and Compliance to drive cost efficiency and growth.

• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and other financial partners.

 Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

• Professional certification is required: CPA (T), ACCA, CMA, or equivalent.

• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within fintech, prop trading, investment firms, or financial services sectors.

• Proven track record of managing financial operations in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.

• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards (TRA compliance, IFRS).

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash flow management.

• Demonstrated ability in managing fundraising rounds and investor communications.

• Excellent proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.

• Familiarity with treasury management, risk assessment, and internal audit processes.
