Position Title:  Desktop Support Engineer

Salary Grade:  35000 - 50000 Peso / month

Reports To:  Account Manager,Client

Primary Relationships:  Client, Client Staff, Admin

Background:

This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer or IT Support Analyst with solid MS

Windows Operating Systems experience to become part of an expanding IT Services company based in Finchley Central, North London. You will join an enthusiastic team who provide outstanding customer service and believe in going the extra mile to offer flexible technical support to London based clients

 

Responsibilities

 

•Check all client’s server/desktop backups and resolving issues promptly

•Running updates on all servers/desktops for clients outside of business hours

•Monitoring backup reports and resolving issues

•Monitoring NOC outage reports and resolving issues with the provider or escalating

•Provide support for our fixed phone lines and internet customers, troubleshooting problems

and placing orders

•Dealing with support tickets on our central system which have been assigned

•Handling basic level server and Office 365 administration tasks such as onboarding and off

boarding users

•Making changes to customers 3CX Phone System configurations when requested 

•Provide out of hours support for our UK customers

 

 

Schedule:

Must feel comfortable working UK business hours or  mid shift

 

Requirements:

At least four years’ experience in a MSP IT support role, involving both 1st and 2nd line support

At least four years’ MS Windows Server and MS Exchange experience 

Excellent communication, problem solving and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. 

Must have solid knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange and Active Directory as well as strong network troubleshooting skills diagnosing and resolving IT issues.

Should have the ability to administer and manage multiple customer online accounts, control panels and cloud resource systems as well as Office 365 exchange accounts, webhosting and online backup. 

•MCSE Certified –Essential

•VMware Certified–We will start you on training if not already achieved.

•3CX Advanced Certified - Easy to achieve once you start.

•Windows Server 2008/R2, 2012/R2 & 2016 Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, RDS & Group Policy

•Windows 7, 8 & 10

•Veeam Backup Software

•VMware Virtualisation

•ESET Endpoint Protection–Training can be provided

•CloudBerry Backup Software–Training can be provided

•Office 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, Office Apps & SharePoint/OneDrive)

•3CX Phone System Hardware Knowledge Required

•WatchGuard Firewalls

•DrayTek Firewalls & Routers

•Cisco Small Business Switches

•Unifi Switches & Access Points

•HP/Aruba Managed Switches

•General ITKnowledge

•Local Network Setup & Configuration

•Firewall Setup including Routing & VPN

•Server & Firewall Security Hardening

•Hardware Storage incl. RAID, NAS & SAN
