Position Description:


Position Title:  QA Engineer

Classification:  Associate

Salary Grade:  40000 - 70000 Peso / month

Reports To:  Account Manager

Primary Relationships:  Account Manager, Client Team

Date(s):  April 2021


Background:

 

We are looking for an ethical and detail-oriented QA Engineer that excels in manual testing and has a strong technical background.  The QA Engineer will be responsible for reporting and replicating bugs while giving feedback for potential enhancements and revisions.  You may be asked to contribute to our automation framework for future regressions along with running API test suites.  Data will also be available to carve out segments in order to confirm tests or to review. QA Engineers will actively participate in the test automation efforts as an Automation Engineer or SDET.

 

Your role is essential to keeping our ecosystem and platform as bug-free as possible and maintaining our quality culture.  We believe quality is determined by our users and show great empathy for them. 

 

Main Roles:

  • Review requirements and provide feedback

  • Write and prioritize test cases as well as test plans and strategies in order to meet deadlines

  • Investigate bugs and logs to determine causation and write clear, descriptive bug tickets

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality specifications

  •  Utilize black, gray and white testing as well as other QA methodologies

  • Smoke test after releases

  • Understand the product’s technical architecture for effective testing

  • Write and run API tests on postman

  • Train and onboard new QA staff as we scale

 

Schedule:

  • Must feel comfortable working 11 AM to 8 PM or 12 PM to 9 PM Monday through Friday.

  • This is an office based position with other team members.

Position Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or proof of software QA experience 2-3 years.

  • Open-minded, positive attitude, critical thinker and problem-solving aptitude

  • Familiarity with test tools such as browserstack, insomnia, hiptest, postman

  • Manual testing expert for both front and back end features

  • Strong knowledge in QA and agile methodologies

  • Experience in writing test plans and test cases

  • Strong exploratory test skills

  • Excellent communication skills
