Buying a solar electric system is a major decision that involves a long-term commitment to a technology few understand and to develop a relationship with an unfamiliar company. Additionally, the client must embrace a solution that will alter the look of their home; and a construction project that could span weeks to complete. GigaWatt uses a strategic phone and email sales consultation strategy to serve our customers around the country. We are looking for inside sales professionals who can quickly develop rapport, address the homeowners interests and concerns, and close the deal without interacting face to face. 

 

Our Solar Consultants must do more than just close the sale, they must provide the client with the kind of consultative sales experience that helps them feel confident they are making an informed decision that they will feel good about for years to come. We succeed when we help people discover the benefits of going solar, make it easy to install, and provide the follow through services during and after installation that make powering their lives from the sun a reality!

 

Objectives:

  • Educate prospective customers on the benefits of solar energy
  • Successfully overcome prospect objections
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers
  • Update CRM opportunity ratings and prospect interaction information
  • Consistently achieve sales quota
  • Develop and maintain a strong referral network of satisfied customers that refer friends and family to GigaWatt
  • Continue to learn and develop professional skills

 

Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous telesales experience is a plus
  • Experience in solar would be a plus
  • Ability to analyze and calculate key financial metrics, including competitive pricing and be able to respond to customers concerns over system pricing
  • Strong ability to project monthly sales numbers
  • Understanding of general construction a plus
  • Business to consumer sales experience is a plus 
  • (Financial services, insurance, investments, mortgage etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and basic Excel a must
  • Four year college degree preferred
