  • Looking for someone with a nursing / medical background who can be trained to be able to triage patient telephone calls through the day

Position Title: Virtual Medical Assistant

Classification: Assistant

Salary Grade: 25000 - 35000 peso / month

Reports To: Account Manager, Client

Primary Relationships: Client, Providers, and Patients

Date(s): April 2021


Performs administrative duties for doctors, screening calls, managing calendars, lab results, and helping to answer inquiries.

Working Schedule:

  • US Shift (graveyard)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answers phone and directs the caller to the appropriate location.

  • Note phone number, name and message of caller where needed.

  • Provides callers with information such as FAQ’s

  • Do chart reviews for patients needing refills

  • Help to take care of FMLA or work forms, attend to patient emails

  • Oversee note templates and completion at the end of the day with training.

  • Make calls to Doctor's office to request for a patient's medical records

  • Escalate to other departments as needed

  • Upload and update records in CRM

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree holder of Medicalor equivalent

  • Excellent attitude, flexibility and reliability is key, as is ability to take initiative and ownership.

  • Detail-oriented and a high level of accuracy in work product

  • Excellent English language skills (written and speaking)

  • Good time management and task management skills

  • Noticeable organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work independently and meticulously

  • Proficiency in MS Office Google Suite

  • Able to demonstrate Initiative


  • A minimum of 1-2 years in a BPO setting or in the medical field

  • Prior experience as a Customer Service Representative orVirtual Assistant is helpful, but not required
