Position Title: Senior Accountant

Salary: 30,000 - 60,000 PHP monthly

Reports To: Client & Client Advisor

Primary Relationships: Client Team

Schedule: 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM PHT

Background:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position will also establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information. The Sr. Accountant will support numerous financial processes including preparing daily and month-end journal entries and performing account reconciliations. The Sr. Accountant will also assist with ad-hoc projects as needed. The successful candidate will be a dedicated self-starter looking for exposure to varied and new challenges as part of a small finance team.

Responsibilities:

As a Sr. Accountant, you will need experience performing these functions:

  • Reconcile cash with minimal training and supervision

  • Prepare monthly Warranty Reserve Calculation

  • Responsible for revenue reconciliation and monthly closing entries.

  • Prepare various other journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Apply landed cost to inventory and ensure average costing in SAP is correct

  • Prepare commission statements

  • Learn the accrual process for wholesale/retail deductions

  • Assist in supporting audit requests as needed.

  • Develop financial analysis skills working closely with Director of Accounting

  • Knowledge in sales tax in multiple states

  • Payroll and payroll accrual posting

  • Inventory and inventory reserve reconciliation

  • Fixed Asset schedule and depreciation posting

  • Line of Credit and Loan interests accrual and reconciliation

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

  • 5-7+ years demonstrated proficiency of professional skill and knowledge in accounting, including strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting.

  • Moderate / Advanced Excel Skills

  • SAP Business 1 or similar ERP system experience

  • Curiosity, self-discipline, and desire to perform

  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and good record-keeping practices.
