Position Title: Front End Software Engineer

Salary: 80,000 - 100,000 PHP monthly

Reports To: Partner, Partner Advisor

Primary Relationships: Partner Staff

Date: March 2024

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PHT

Background:

The Front End Software Engineer will play a key role in the solution development of high-value

areas of the business platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for software

analysis, design, development, documentation, defect resolution, and implementation of front-

end components for the associated software applications. They will adhere to development

standards and best practices in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work with subject matter experts in the development and product team to develop and 

  refine front-end components.

• Develop AWS application suite of technologies under a repeatable CI/CD pattern.

• Create robust and flexible software solutions with the development team.

• Assist with configuring, integrating, and supporting various COTS and SaaS Apps.

• Collect, generate, or help refine high-level requirements and create implementation

• strategy, acceptance criteria, and test cases.

• Deploy the solution to quality assurance environments and resolve defects discovered 

  during testing.

• Track project progress and resolve defects within a timely manner.

• Create and maintain supporting documentation.

• Other software development responsibilities as required.

Success Factors:

• Good understanding and practical application of adaptable systems and design patterns 

  supporting best practices in user interface design.

• High level of engagement with the team on development practices.

• Regularly meet sprint tasks and goals.

• Produce high-quality code with minimum defects.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on solution front-end 

  design and frameworks.

• Tertiary Qualifications in Computer Science or relevant experience in an IT-related field.

• Good skills in the software development lifecycle, messaging patterns, endpoint security,

• interfaces with internal and external applications, and database knowledge.

• Strong understanding of responsive web design and experience in front-end SPA JavaScript frameworks like Vue, Reactjs, and Angular.

• Understanding of integration technologies like XML, SOAP, XSLT, JSON, RESTful, GraphQL web-services.

• Understanding of JavaScript and Typescript would be advantageous.

• Experience working within an AWS environment, including an understanding of serverless services.

• Experience working in Agile development environments and teams.

• Strong experience with managing project and agile tracking and knowledge base tools such as JIRA, Linear, and Confluence.

• Effective at user story writing and converting business requirements into technical detail.

• Supporting the grooming and estimation of the product backlog requirements, and as required, working with the Business Analysts to get them into a state of readiness for sprint planning.

• Some development experience with Laravel Nova would be considered advantageous.

• Exposure to Financial services, specifically lending, as this will be highly regarded.

• Comfortable thinking on your feet and working through ambiguity.

• Experience building out and using CI/CD pipelines and management tools e.g., Gitlab.
