Position Title: Intake Coordinator
Salary Grade: 25,000-35,000 PHP a month
Reports To: Client, Client Advisor
Primary Relationships: Client Team
Date: May 2023
Schedule : 9PM to 6AM PHT


Responsibilities:

  • Receive referrals from referring partners and exercise judgment and company knowledge in determining which referrals can be accepted

  • Communicate acceptance or denial of referral to referral sources

  • Negotiate fees and reimbursements with select payers (National Accounts) as needed

  • Input inquiries into the tracking system for further evaluation

  • Input clients, doctors' offices, and facilities into BrightStar systems

  • Coordinate the admission of care with BrightStar Intake Nurses

  • Follow up with clients and referral sources after admission

  • Track and report referrals for Marketing Liaison referral counts

  • Communicate the status of referrals (denied or accepted) to the Marketing Liaison

  • Contact hospitals and facilities to verify client status

  • Collaborate and communicate with the office team for daily work and projects

  • Answer inbound phone calls and utilize the BrightStar HELP Form to assist potential clients and/or team members

  • Assist clients as a caregiver in a home setting when needed

  • Participate in staff meetings

  • Assist in identifying, creating, and executing company improvement plans

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and Joint Commission standards

  • Responsible for after-hours phone rotation



Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required

  • CPR Certification

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and internet usage

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an Intake Coordinator or similar position within a healthcare office setting; knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare office regulations

  • Excellent organization, planning, and project management skills

  • Phone etiquette and strong communication skills
