Position Title: Assistant Payroll Specialist

Salary: 15,000 - 20,000 PHP a month

Reports To: Compensation & Benefits Line Manager

Primary Relationships: Internal Team

Schedule: 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM PHT


Responsibilities:

  • Verify employees’ cash advances and government-provided loans for the Payroll report

  • Creates monthly reporting and payment for Statutory Contributions (SSS, Philhealth, and PagIBIG) including SSS loans and PagIBIG loans

  • Handle queries related to government statutory obligations and ensure resolutions with specified timelines

  • Act as Administrator of Google Drive record and Airtable (Employee Benefit Tracker) which serves as the basis for issuance, disbursement, and renewal of company-provided benefits

  • Assist employees in availing government benefits exclusively for SSS Maternity benefits, Sickness Benefits, Philhealth Claims, and other special benefits

  • Coordinate with government-mandated offices on payments and posting of premium contributions and member loans

  • Maintain and update the database as a basis for deductions. (Cash Advances, SSS & Pag Ibig Loans & Government Statutory Contributions)

  • Compute final pay of all offboarded employees

  • Sending of final pay computation and breakdown to offboarded employees via email.

  • Updating Airtable related to your main responsibility Daily

  • Assist the Payroll Specialist whenever necessary

  • Make sure the necessary playbooks related to your responsibility are always up to date.

  • Assisting in collecting and verifying timekeeping information and preparing payroll data for processing.

  • Assisting in Calculating and processing employee wages, salaries, commissions, bonuses, and other types of compensation.

  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and benefits.

  • Assisting in the maintenance of employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee information.·

  • Assisting with special projects related to payroll and benefits as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field

  • At least (1) one year of experience administering compensation and benefits or as a assistant payroll specialist

  • Excellent time management skills & strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Hands-on experience with HR software (HRIS)

  • Knowledge in any payroll software is a plus
