Position Title: Paralegal

Salary: 70,000 - 80,000 PHP monthly

Reports To: Partner, Partner Advisor

Primary Relationships: Partner Staff

Date: March 2024

Schedule: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM PHT

Background:

The Paralegal (PL) contributes to planning, developing, and managing legal operations, focusing on contracts management, contracting playbooks, legal research, and drafting/analyzing legal documents under the General Counsel's supervision.

Responsibilities:


  • Build out legal operation functions, including:
    • Contract Management (collecting, tagging, summarizing, calendaring, and storing contracts) Contract Playbooks (identifying stakeholders, defining responsibilities, setting rules, storing/tagging key provisions)

    • Contract analysis and risk mediation alternatives

    • Redlining contracts

    • Creating a knowledge base on Product Counseling

    • Legal analysis and research

    • Conducting investigations and documentary research

    • Providing day-to-day support for the Legal Department

  • Understanding of basic legal proceedings, research methodology, and attorney-client relationships

  • Proficiency in legal writing principles

  • Strong problem identification, analysis, and evaluation skills

  • Effective written and verbal presentation skills.

  • Competence in business math

  • Familiarity with computerized information and database record-keeping systems

  • Proficiency in computer information systems, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and legal research tools like Westlaw.

  • Visual capability and digital dexterity for computer and office equipment operation

  • Fine visual distinctions for proofreading and on-screen information viewing.

  • Clear and effective communication in person, in writing, and via Zoom

  • Articulate messages clearly in speech




Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Completion of an approved paralegal program

  • Minimum four (4) years of paralegal experience

  • Accomplished computer keyboarding skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Workspace

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment

  • Function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment

  • Office administration experience
