Position Title: Spanish Bilingual Medical Assistant

Salary: 30,000 PHP a month

Responsibilities:

  • Bilingual Communication: Serve as a bridge between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare professionals by facilitating clear and accurate communication via phone, email, and virtual platforms.

  • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and manage patient appointments, consultations, and follow-ups, optimizing the scheduling process to minimize wait times and maximize patient convenience.

  • Medical Records Management: Maintain meticulous and confidential electronic medical records, updating patient information, treatment plans, and test results accurately.

  • Patient Education: Provide clear and culturally sensitive instructions to patients regarding medication, treatment plans, and pre/post-operative care, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of their healthcare journey.

  • Translation Services: Accurately translate medical documents, prescriptions, and other relevant materials from English to Spanish and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.

  • Telehealth Assistance: Facilitate virtual telehealth appointments, ensuring patients are comfortable with the technology and assisting healthcare professionals as needed.

  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to urgent situations, liaising between patients and medical staff to ensure immediate attention and care.


Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, medical office, or related field preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and administrative software.

  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to communicate with diverse patient populations.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus.
