Position Description:

Position Title:  Accountant

Classification:  Associate

Salary Grade:  25000 Peso / month

Reports To:  Account Manager, Client

Primary Relationships:  Client, Client Team, Customers

Date(s):  January - February 2021


Background:

One of our clients in Australia is looking for an Accountant.  You will collaborate directly with the owner of the company and their internal staff.

As an Accountant, you will be required to operate in a number of different capacities. You will manage mostly business-related tasks for your client such as maintaining key accounting records, ledgers, recording transactions, and posting to various accounts.  

To do this role properly you should have good English, a warm and friendly personality, a detailed understanding of the full Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite, and be fast at solving problems. It's helpful that you are also excellent in task management, time management, and overall accountability.

Main Roles:

  • Use Xero (certified is an advantage)

  • Knowledge of Ascora (preferred, not required)

  • Overall management and accuracy of ledgers

Schedule:

  • Must feel comfortable working Australian business hours (dayshift)

Responsibilities:

  • Everything runs off Xero and Ascora

  • Maintaining accounts

  • Reconciliation of accounts

  • Payment confirmations

  • Invoice entry

  • Order checks

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years as a bookkeeper or accountant

  • Bachelor Degree holder in finance, accounting, or similar field

  • Knowledge of Xero

  • Knowledge of Australian accounting standards advantageous 

  • Excellent English language skills (written and speaking)

  • Good time management and task management skills

  • Noticeable organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work independently and meticulously

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite

  • Able to demonstrate initiative
