Position Description:


Position Title:  Business Analyst

Classification:  Associate

Salary Grade:  90,000 - 120,000 Peso / monthly

Reports To:  Account Manager

Primary Relationships:  Account Manager, Client Team

Date(s):  April 2021


Background:

At its core, a Business Analyst is a strategic problem solver, finding ways to quickly deliver innovative products to market, leading change, and making organizations more efficient. Business analysts also focus on meeting business needs while bridging the gap between an organization’s current position and the one it wants to reach.

Using data analysis, business modeling, and research, business analysts determine customer needs and develop ideas on how an organization can meet them. Their work makes organizations adaptable and agile in a marketplace where those attributes are increasingly important.

Schedule:

  • Must feel comfortable working 11 AM to 8 PM or 12 PM to 9 PM Monday through Friday.

  • This is an office based position with other team members.

General Required Skills:

  • 5 years+ experience working in a BA role

  • 3 years+ experience working in a B2B SAAS business or e-commerce platform with high degree of complexity

  • Experience working with Product Management developing user stories into system requirements and refining/enhancing user acceptance criteria

  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills

  • At ease with Technology, happy to be involved in technical discussions at any level

  • Ability to quickly understand the technical, behavioural and contextual elements of a system & project

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience of working within a scrum team

  • Excellent documentation skills - ability to translate complex technical solutions into plain English

  • Ability to work closely with Developers to facilitate and determine acceptable solutions

  • Excellent communications skills - ability to visualise and communicate solutions

  • Effective Time & Project Management skills – keep on track of a project and keep stakeholders up to date

  • Experience being hands on with Software, being comfortable with UAT to ensure user acceptance criteria is achieved.

Position Requirements:

  • BSc/BA in computer science, software engineering, engineering, development or relevant discipline

  • Detail-oriented and a high level of accuracy in work product 

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments

  • Proven experience bringing designs to life

  • An analytical mindset and critical thinking

  • Excellent English communication skills

Other preferred qualifications (not required):

  • Computer Science, Business or UI/UX design qualifications

  • Experience with Cloud technologies

  • Knowledge from working on software that handles high volumes of data

  • Experience creating requirements for API integrations

  • Experience of gap analysis to support EOL of legacy systems

  • Knowledge of working with ticketing systems eg: Azure Devops

  • Skilled at using workflow software like Visio or LucidCharts

  • Experience of undertaking impact analysis for planned changes/solutions

  • Previous experience as a Developer or QA is nice to have

  • Understanding of the marketing technology or e-commerce space would also be advantageous
