Position Description:

Position Title:  Bookkeeper

Classification:  Associate

Salary Grade:  20000 - 30000 Peso / month

Reports To:  Account Manager, Client

Primary Relationships:  Client Team

Date(s):  September - October 2020


Background:

One of our accounting partners in Australia is looking for a Bookkeeper.  You will collaborate directly with the owner of the company and their internal staff.

As a Bookkeeper, you will be required to operate in a number of different capacities. You will manage mostly business-related tasks for your client such as maintaining key accounting records, ledgers, recording transactions, and posting to various accounts.  

To do this role properly you should have good English, a warm and friendly personality, a detailed understanding of the full Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite, and be fast at solving problems. It's helpful that you are also excellent in task management, time management, and overall accountability.

Main Roles:

  • Recording transactions such as income and outgoings

  • Posting to various accounts

  • Conducting daily banking activities

  • Producing various financial reports

  • Reconciliation reports to third-party records such as bank statements

Schedule:

  • Must feel comfortable working Australian business hours

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accounts

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative

  • Display professional communication via phone, text, and email

  • Task and project management

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years as a bookkeeper or accountant

  • Bachelor Degree holder in finance, accounting, or similar field

  • Knowledge of MYOB, Xero Accounting, and Zero Practice Management Software

  • Knowledge of Australian GST

  • Prior experience working with a Australian Accounting firm in the BPO industry is preferred but not required

  • Excellent English language skills (written and speaking)

  • Good time management and task management skills

  • Noticeable organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work on numerous issues concurrently

  • Ability to work independently and meticulously

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite

  • Able to demonstrate initiative
