Clear is looking for a Finance Manager to work with our client, an Australia-based robotics and technology firm driving innovation and scalability through automation.

Role and Opportunity

Your new role is to take charge of the company's financial planning, reporting, compliance, and performance analysis. You will act as a business partner to the CEO/ Chairman, bringing clarity to financial decisions and insights to support growth and profitability.

Our client is known for its cutting-edge work in robotics and technology. They are scaling rapidly and are looking for a Finance Manager who can ensure the business stays financially healthy while enabling strategic decisions through insightful reporting and planning.

Purpose

As a Finance Manager, you will:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports and compliance obligations
  • Guide the executive team on financial strategy, forecasting, and performance improvements
  • Provide analysis and visibility on cash flow, budget variance, and project costs

As the Finance Manager, your daily tasks may include:

  • Handle all monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, including payroll tax, GST/BAS, & PAYG
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Process monthly payroll and employee expense claims
  • Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and present them to Executive Leadership
  • Review monthly project costs against budgets
  • Prepare monthly performance analysis and risk insights
  • Manage board and shareholder reporting requirements
  • Lead the annual budget and long-term planning process
  • Manage the R&D Tax process
  • Partner closely with the CEO/Chairman to ensure financial accuracy and shareholder compliance
  • Contribute to the teams effort and perform other duties as requested by the client or assigned by the management

Essential Experience

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a bachelors degree in Accountancy or Finance
  • At least 5 years of post-graduate experience in accounting or finance, preferably with exposure to both compliance and strategic financial planning
  • Working knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance (BAS, GST, PAYG, payroll tax), with hands-on experience in preparing various financial reports
  • Strong command of Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software (MYOB, QuickBooks)
  • Minimum of 3 years working with Australian clients through BPO, shared services, or offshore accounting firms with tasks that include cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance analysis
  • Highly skilled in MS Excel, with proficiency in using various applications of Microsoft Office
