Our client seeks a Government Secret Cleared individual with a reputation for trustworthiness and leadership to join their expanding team as a Working Site Supervisor. This pivotal role encompasses diverse duties, including personnel management, project oversight, safety protocol maintenance, and site procedure implementation. The preferred candidate possesses ample experience, accountability, and a collaborative spirit. Duties will involve physical labor at commercial construction sites, occasionally necessitating the operation of various hand and power tools.

Responsibilities:

As a Site Supervisor, your primary role will be to foster collaboration among clients, sub-contractors, and colleagues, ensuring the smooth execution of projects. You will oversee day-to-day operations at our client's commercial and retail construction sites, taking charge of the following responsibilities:

• Upholding optimal quality standards at the job site.
• Collaborating with the project management team to develop, maintain, and adhere to construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Efficiently managing, scheduling, and supervising sub-trades and field employees to ensure productive work execution while upholding service excellence and delivering top-quality results.
• Demonstrating effective leadership to ensure adherence to approved construction plans, specifications, design drawings, and relevant codes, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project.
• Maintaining comprehensive daily reports that accurately document site progress, events, inspections, and other pertinent information.
• Overseeing multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

Qualifications required for the position are as follows:

• A minimum of 5 years of Site Supervisory experience in commercial construction.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints.
• Experience in both interior fit-ups and new commercial building construction.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Thorough, hands-on familiarity with Building Codes.
• Excellent communication skills, including articulate speech and advanced listening capabilities.
• Effective leadership and motivation of construction personnel.
• Safety-consciousness with comprehensive knowledge of all relevant requirements and regulations.
• Adherence to schedules with a commitment to delivering high-quality finished products on time and within budget.
• The successful candidate must hold current safety certifications in WHMIS, CSA Supervisors Training, Safety Awareness, First Aid, Working at Heights, and Elevated Work Platform operation.
• Proficiency in performing handyman tasks when required, with mandatory skills in carpentry and tool usage.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
